Flying First class is Fun! Worth the money.

I had been to Dallas this weekend for my sister’s graduation at UTD. She’s under-graduated from UTD in neuro science. She’s got a lots of study to do in the future, while I play and tease her :p
Well I was to fly out of Dallas Sunday morning around 8AM.
We were playing rummy Saturday night and then I got a call from a 1 – 800 number and I ignored it thinking it was some stupid marketing call in the night! It rang again and my uncle took the call for me. It was Delta calling about my canceled flight and that they have already booked me through to Syracuse on North West in First Class. Hurray I’m going to fly first class at the price of economy and reach Syracuse 2 hours early!
I was all elated. My sister dropped me off at the DFW airport and I walked into the terminal. For the first time stood in the First Class line. Well obviously no body else was there…and all others standing in the economy were looking at me envious of the fact that I would obviously be the next person to be serviced even though they had been standing there since a long time. I Love that :p
After the flight arrived, it was the same when they call for First class, preferred members to board first …. hehe I proudly walk out on the breezeway and enter the aircraft. As soon as I find my seat and put my bog in the overhead bin an air hostess approaches me and asks, “What would you like to drink today honey?” I was like … .wow before taking off! I wittyly said… Why not some honey…. and all the nearby people including her and me laughed and then I asked for some spicy tomato juice and she came back after every body settled down to collect the glass. Even the glass was different, it’s not the same plastic glass that they serve in economy. It’s a big fat glass glass.
Then as soon as take off, another round of drinks with meal. What da he** are they still serving meals on a domestic flights! I was like yeah baby also bring me a cocktail. Drank, ate flirted with the air hostess who happened to be from Detroit, MI and a recent recruit to NWA and graduated out of MSU.
My layover was Detroit, MI. I went to the terminal and in the short flight to Syracuse, I enjoyed the super big seats with HUGE – mark it, bold it, italicize it, huge leg room and I had enough room on my seat, I could easily fit a water bottle, and a copy of 22 – Blackjack I was reading in my seat.
While we reached the final approach for landing in Syracuse, I watched the sub urban areas of Liverpool, Syracuse, Camillion, Baldwinsville, Lakeland, Solvay, Cicero, Michigan Lake, Sylvan.

But it is way costly to travel with your money for the luxury for about 3-5 hours! I wouldn’t go First if it were my money, if they upgrade it why not! Congrats on your first class flight!
I know it is fun! but who’ll give that much money! I would like to fly first class toooo if someone gets the ticket for me :p
Congrats to your sister on her graduation!
Dude! I am sooo jealous of you. I wish my next flight gets cancelled and they do that to me!
yeah it is fun, but don’t ask for a cancellation! I was just lucky because I’m a frequent flier with Delta and continental. And I think I was super lucky to get that offer. Don’t ask for a cancellation, you’ll most probably end up in the airport and get a completely different route and either tooo much time at layover stops or too little time… It can be a real mess. unless you are very very lucky!
Did you get her phone number? Or may be you could have gotten a hotel room in Detroit with her! That would have been ‘worth the money’
hahaha …not really that desperate ………..donno wat to write….
kewl, I haven’t yet flown first class. I’m sure it’s fun.
