What is Dark Matter? – Science Concept of the day!

Dark matter is a mysterious form of matter which exerts gravitational effects on ordinary matter but cannot be observed via any other means. While conventional matter can be detected through stellar activity, light scattering, radio emissions, and other means, dark matter clouds are invisible to the vast majority of our instruments. Yet they constitute 90% – 99% of the matter in the universe.

SETI – Search for Extra-Terrestrial intelligence – Explainstuff Fact of the day.

SETI, or the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence, is a project which aims to detect extraterrestrial intelligent life. SETI primarily uses radio telescopes to search for extraterrestrial signals, although optical telescopes and other methods have been proposed. Any discovery of intelligent alien life by SETI would have profound implications for humanity’s future.

Explain Memory Leaks – Explain stuff – Fact of the day

We many times encounter slowing browsers, slowing computers, slowing applications and wonder what in the world is wrong with them.
Most often than not, it is an issue with Memory Leaks. In this post ‘explain stuff’ explains us how memory leaks form so that you have a better understanding of the problem and tackle it with scientific knowledge rather than just beating the bush around.

Fact of the day: Journey to The Sun

A nasa spacecraft set to launch in 2015 will come eight times closer to the Sun than any previous probe, operating within the star’s scorching outer atmosphere, or corona. The $750 million Solar Probe will study the birthplace of the solar wind. During its expected seven-year lifetime, Solar Probe will make seven gravity slingshots around Venus, each time getting closer to the Sun.

Stars will born in a nebula) . It is in the constellation of Centaurus, 5000 light-years from Earth. The Boomerang Nebula is one of [...]

AntiMatter | Science Articles

There is speculation as to why the observable universe is apparently almost entirely matter, whether there exist other places that are almost entirely antimatter instead, and what might be possible if antimatter could be harnessed?
